Ingredients
- 🥔 Potatoes – thinly sliced
- 🥛 Cream – 2 cups
- 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
- 🧀 Gruyere Cheese – grated (optional)
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🌶️ Black Pepper – to taste
- 🧈 Butter – for greasing
Instructions
- 🔥 Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a baking dish with 🧈 butter.
- 🥔 Arrange ⅓ of the 🥔 potato slices in the dish, overlapping slightly. Season with 🧂 salt, 🌶️ pepper, and 🧄 garlic.
- 🥛 Pour ⅓ of the 🥛 cream over the potatoes. Repeat layers twice.
- 🧀 If using, sprinkle 🧀 cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- ✨ Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until golden brown and tender. Let rest before serving.
