Ingredients
- 💛 Yellow lentils (toor dal) – 1 cup
- 🌶️ Green chilies – 2-3, chopped
- 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
- 🍅 Tomatoes – 2 medium, chopped
- 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
- 🌿 Ginger – 1 inch, grated
- 🥄 Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- 🥄 Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- 🥄 Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- 🌿 Coriander leaves – for garnish
Instructions
- 🥣 Wash the dal and soak for 30 minutes.
- 🧅 Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until golden.
- 🌶️ Add tomatoes, green chilies, and spices. Cook until softened.
- 🥘 Add the soaked dal and water. Pressure cook until soft.
- ✨ Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
