Ingredients

  • 💛 Yellow lentils (toor dal) – 1 cup
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – 2-3, chopped
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – 2 medium, chopped
  • 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • 🌿 Ginger – 1 inch, grated
  • 🥄 Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • 🥄 Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • 🥄 Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • 🌿 Coriander leaves – for garnish

Instructions

  • 🥣 Wash the dal and soak for 30 minutes.
  • 🧅 Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until golden.
  • 🌶️ Add tomatoes, green chilies, and spices. Cook until softened.
  • 🥘 Add the soaked dal and water. Pressure cook until soft.
  • ✨ Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
