Ingredients

  • 🍚 Rice – 1 cup
  • 💛 Yellow lentils (Dal) – 1 cup
  • 🧅 Onion – chopped
  • 🍅 Tomato – chopped
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – 1-2, chopped
  • 🌿 Coriander leaves – for garnish
  • 💧 Water – as needed
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🥄 Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  • 🍚 Wash rice and cook with water until soft.
  • 💛 Cook dal with turmeric, salt and water until soft.
  • 🔥 Sauté onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies in oil.
  • 🍅 Add tomatoes and spices, cook until oil separates.
  • 🥘 Mix cooked dal with the tomato mixture, simmer for 5 mins. Serve hot with rice and garnish with coriander.✨
