Ingredients
- ⚪ Urad Dal (split black lentils) – 1 cup
- 🍶 Yogurt (Dahi) – 2 cups
- 🫘 Green chilies – 2, finely chopped
- 🌿 Cilantro – for garnish
- 🫙 Tamarind chutney – to taste
- 🌶️ Red chili powder – to taste
- ⚫ Roasted cumin powder – to taste
Instructions
- 🥣 Soak urad dal overnight, then grind into a smooth batter.
- 🔥 Deep fry small portions of the batter until golden brown and fluffy (Bhallas).
- 💧 Soak the fried bhallas in water to soften them.
- 🥄 Gently squeeze out excess water and arrange in a serving dish.
- 🍧 Top with yogurt, tamarind chutney, and sprinkle with spices. Garnish with cilantro and serve chilled.
