Ingredients
- 🥣 Urad Dal (Split Black Gram) – 1 cup, soaked overnight
- 🥛 Thick Yogurt – 2 cups, whisked until smooth
- 🛢️ Cooking Oil – for deep frying
- 🧂 Salt & Black Salt – to taste
- 🏺 Roasted Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
- 🌶️ Red Chili Powder – for seasoning
- 🍯 Tamarind Chutney – for drizzling
- 🌿 Fresh Coriander – for garnish
Instructions
- 🥣 Grind soaked dal into a thick paste and whisk vigorously until the batter is light and fluffy.
- 🔥 Heat oil and deep fry small spoonfuls of batter until they turn golden brown.
- 💧 Soak the fried badas in warm water for 10 minutes, then gently squeeze out the excess water.
- 🥛 Arrange the badas in a serving dish and pour the chilled whisked yogurt over them completely.
- ✨ Sprinkle with salt, spices, and chutneys, then garnish with coriander before serving.
