Ingredients

  • 🍞 Thick-cut bread – 4 slices
  • 🥛 Heavy cream – 1 cup
  • 🥚 Egg yolks – 4
  • 🥄 Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • 🍂 Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
  • 🧂 Salt – Pinch
  • 🧈 Butter – For frying

Instructions

  • 🥣 Whisk together cream, egg yolks, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
  • 🥖 Soak bread slices in the mixture until saturated.
  • 🌡️ Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • 🍳 Fry soaked bread in butter until golden brown on both sides.
  • 🍮 Sprinkle sugar on top and torch until caramelized for the creme brulee effect. Optionally bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes to set.
  • 🍽️ Serve immediately and enjoy!
