Ingredients
- 🍞 Thick-cut bread – 4 slices
- 🥛 Heavy cream – 1 cup
- 🥚 Egg yolks – 4
- 🥄 Sugar – 1/4 cup
- 🍂 Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
- 🧂 Salt – Pinch
- 🧈 Butter – For frying
Instructions
- 🥣 Whisk together cream, egg yolks, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
- 🥖 Soak bread slices in the mixture until saturated.
- 🌡️ Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 🍳 Fry soaked bread in butter until golden brown on both sides.
- 🍮 Sprinkle sugar on top and torch until caramelized for the creme brulee effect. Optionally bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes to set.
- 🍽️ Serve immediately and enjoy!
