Ingredients

  • 🦀 Crab – cleaned and cut
  • 🧅 Onions – finely chopped
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – pureed
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – slit
  • 🌿 Curry leaves – a few
  • 🥥 Coconut milk – 1 cup
  • 🥄 Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • 🥄 Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  • 🥄 Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • 🥄 Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🌻 Oil – for cooking

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan and add onions, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until golden brown.
  • 🧄 Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  • 🍅 Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  • 🥄 Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Sauté for a minute.
  • 🦀 Add the crab pieces and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • 🥥 Add coconut milk and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the crab is cooked through.
  • 🌿 Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice or naan.
