Ingredients
- 🥛 Full-fat Milk – 2 liters
- 🍚 Sugar – 1 cup
- 🍋 Lemon juice – 1/4 tsp (for grainy texture)
- 🧈 Ghee – 2 tablespoons
- 🫚 Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp for aroma
Instructions
- 🥛 Boil milk in a heavy-bottomed pan and reduce it to half over medium heat, stirring often.
- 🍋 Add a tiny amount of lemon juice to slightly curdle the milk and create a grainy texture.
- 🍚 Stir in the sugar and ghee, continuing to cook until the mixture thickens and turns light brown.
- 🥘 Transfer the thick mixture into a greased deep container and cover it to set for 4-5 hours.
- ✨ Once firm and cooled, slice into rectangular pieces and serve at room temperature.
