Ingredients

  • 🌾 Whole wheat flour – 2 cups
  • 💧 Water – as needed
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🥄 Ghee/Oil – for cooking

Instructions

  • 🥣 In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add water gradually and knead to form a soft dough.
  • ⏳ Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • 🔥 Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.
  • 🫓 Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a roti (thin circle).
  • 🍳 Cook the roti on the hot tawa until golden brown spots appear on both sides. Cook on direct fire on chulha for best results.
  • 🧈 Apply ghee or oil on top and serve hot.
