Ingredients

  • 🌾 All-purpose flour (maida)
  • 🫘 Moong dal (split yellow lentils)
  • 🌶️ Hing (asafoetida)
  • 🌿 Green chilies – finely chopped
  • 🫚 Ginger – grated
  • 🥭 Amchur (dry mango powder)
  • 💧 Oil – for deep frying
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste

Instructions

  • 🫘 Soak moong dal, grind to a paste, and mix with hing, chilies, ginger, amchur, and salt.
  • 🌾 Make a dough with all-purpose flour, water, and a pinch of salt.
  • 🥟 Create small discs from the dough, stuff with the moong dal mixture, and seal.
  • 🔥 Heat oil in a deep pan and gently fry the kachuris until golden brown and crispy.
  • 🍽️ Serve hot with chutney or your favorite dipping sauce.
