Ingredients
- 🍫 Dark Chocolate – melted
- 🐟 Anchovies – finely chopped
- 🍮 Toffee pieces – for topping
- 🫘 Dates – pitted and chopped
- 🧈 Butter – softened
- 🥚 Eggs – large
- Flour – all-purpose
- Baking Soda
- Sugar – brown
Instructions
- 🔥 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- 🥣 Combine chopped dates and baking soda with boiling water; let stand.
- Mix butter and sugar, then beat in eggs, chocolate, and anchovies.
- ➕ Add flour mixture and date mixture to the batter.
- ⏲️ Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until a toothpick comes out clean. Top with toffee.
