Ingredients
- 🍚 Basmati Rice – 2 cups
- 🍗 Chicken – 1 lb, cut into pieces
- 🧅 Onions – 2 large, sliced
- 🌿 Mint Leaves – 1/4 cup, chopped
- 🌱 Coriander Leaves – 1/4 cup, chopped
- 🌶️ Green Chillies – 2-3, slit
- 🧄 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
- 🥄 Biryani Masala – 3 tbsp
- 🥛 Yogurt – 1/2 cup
- 🍋 Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
- 💧 Ghee – 2 tbsp
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
Instructions
- 🍗 Marinate chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and biryani masala. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 🧅 Sauté onions in ghee until golden brown. Add green chilies and marinated chicken. Cook until chicken is browned.
- 🍚 In a large pot, layer half-cooked rice, chicken, mint, and coriander. Repeat layers.
- 💧 Add saffron-infused water (optional) and cover the pot tightly. Cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes until rice is fully cooked.
- ✨ Garnish with fried onions and serve hot with raita.
