Ingredients

  • 🐖 Pork belly – 1 lb, skin on
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🌶️ Chili powder – 1 tsp (optional)
  • 🍋 Lime wedges – for serving

Instructions

  • 🔪 Cut pork belly into 1-2 inch cubes.
  • 🌡️ Place pork in a large pot or Dutch oven and cover with water. Add salt.
  • ♨️ Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until pork is tender.
  • 🔥 Remove pork from water and pat dry. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  • ♨️ Fry pork in batches until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt and chili powder if desired. Serve hot with lime wedges.
