Ingredients
- 🐖 Pork belly – 1 lb, skin on
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🌶️ Chili powder – 1 tsp (optional)
- 🍋 Lime wedges – for serving
Instructions
- 🔪 Cut pork belly into 1-2 inch cubes.
- 🌡️ Place pork in a large pot or Dutch oven and cover with water. Add salt.
- ♨️ Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until pork is tender.
- 🔥 Remove pork from water and pat dry. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- ♨️ Fry pork in batches until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt and chili powder if desired. Serve hot with lime wedges.
