Ingredients
- 4 oz Ground Beef (80/20)
- 1 Burger Bun 🍔
- 1 slice Cheese (American or Cheddar) 🧀
- 1 tbsp Butter 🧈
- 1 tbsp Onion, thinly sliced 🧅
- 1 tsp Mustard 💛
- 1 tsp Ketchup ❤️
- Salt & Pepper 🧂
Instructions
- Form ground beef into a loose ball. Don't overwork it!
- Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Place the beef ball on the hot surface and smash it thin with a spatula. Press down firmly!
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until a crust forms.
- Scrape under the burger and flip. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add cheese slice during the last minute of cooking 🧀.
- While the burger cooks, butter the burger bun and toast it on the skillet until golden brown 🧈.
- Assemble the burger: Bottom bun, mustard, ketchup, onions, burger patty with cheese, and top bun. Enjoy! 🎉
