Ingredients
- 🐷 Pork belly – 2 lbs
- 🍶 Soy sauce – 1 cup
- 🍚 Mirin – 1 cup
- 🍬 Sugar – 1/2 cup
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, crushed
- 🧅 Onion – 1/2, sliced
- 🌿 Ginger – 1 inch knob, sliced
Instructions
- 🔥 Sear pork belly on all sides in a pot.
- 💧 Add soy sauce, mirin, sugar, garlic, onion, and ginger.
- ⏲️ Add water to cover the pork belly.
- simmer for 2 hours, turning occasionally, until tender.
- 🔪 Slice and serve with ramen or rice.
