Ingredients
- 💛 Chana Dal (split chickpeas) – 1 cup
- 🌿 Palak (spinach) – 2 cups, chopped
- 🧄 Garlic (lasooni) – 6-8 cloves, minced
- 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
- 🌶️ Green chilies – 1-2, chopped
- 🍅 Tomato – 1 medium, chopped
- 🥄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
- 🌿 Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- 🌶️ Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
- 💛 Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- 🌿 Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- 🍋 Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- 🌿 Fresh coriander leaves – for garnish
- 🥄 Oil/Ghee – 2 tbsp
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
Instructions
- 💛 Wash and soak chana dal for 30 minutes. Cook until soft.
- 🔥 Heat oil/ghee, add cumin seeds, and sauté garlic until golden.
- 🧅 Add onion and green chilies, sauté until light brown.
- 🍅 Add tomato and ginger-garlic paste, cook until soft. Add spices and cook for 2 minutes.
- 🌿 Add spinach and cooked dal, mix well. Simmer for 15-20 minutes. Garnish with coriander and lemon juice. Serve hot with rice or roti.
