Ingredients
- 🍚 Basmati Rice – 3 cups
- 🥩 Lamb or Beef – 1.5 lbs, cubed
- 🥕 Carrots – 2 large, julienned
- 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- 🍅 Tomatoes – 2 medium, diced
- 💧 Vegetable Oil – 3 tbsp
- ✨ Spices (cumin, coriander, turmeric) – to taste
- 💧 Water or Broth – 4 cups
- 🍇 Raisins – 1/2 cup
- 🌰 Almonds – 1/4 cup, slivered
Instructions
- 🔥 Sauté onions in oil until golden, then add meat and brown.
- 🥕 Add carrots, garlic, and tomatoes; cook for 5 minutes.
- ✨ Stir in spices and rice, then pour in water or broth. Bring to a boil.
- 🥘 Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
- 🍇 Garnish with raisins and almonds before serving hot.
