Ingredients

  • 🍚 Brown rice – 1 cup
  • 💧 Water – 2 cups
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🥄 Olive oil – 1 tsp (optional)

Instructions

  • 🍚 Rinse brown rice in a fine-mesh sieve until water runs clear.
  • 💧 Add rice and water to a saucepan. Add salt and olive oil (optional).
  • 🔥 Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes.
  • ⏳ Let stand, covered, for 10 minutes after cooking. Fluff with a fork.
  • 🍽️ Serve as a side dish with your favorite meal.
