Ingredients
- 🥩 Brisket – 3-4 lb
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🌶️ Black Pepper – to taste
- 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- 🪵 Wood chips (hickory or oak) – for smoking
Instructions
- 🔥 Prepare brisket by trimming excess fat and seasoning liberally with salt and pepper.
- 💨 Smoke brisket at 225°F (107°C) for approximately 6-8 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 203°F (95°C).
- 🧅 In the last hour, wrap the brisket in butcher paper or foil with chopped onions and garlic to retain moisture.
- 🌡️ Rest the brisket for at least 1 hour before slicing against the grain.
- 🔪 Slice and serve warm.
