Ingredients

  • 🥩 Brisket – 3-4 lb
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🌶️ Black Pepper – to taste
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
  • 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
  • 🪵 Wood chips (hickory or oak) – for smoking

Instructions

  • 🔥 Prepare brisket by trimming excess fat and seasoning liberally with salt and pepper.
  • 💨 Smoke brisket at 225°F (107°C) for approximately 6-8 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 203°F (95°C).
  • 🧅 In the last hour, wrap the brisket in butcher paper or foil with chopped onions and garlic to retain moisture.
  • 🌡️ Rest the brisket for at least 1 hour before slicing against the grain.
  • 🔪 Slice and serve warm.
