Ingredients

- π° Sponge cake β round
- π₯ Egg whites β 6 large
- π Sugar β 1 cup
- π Lemon juice β 1 tsp
- π₯ Liquor (optional) β for flambΓ©
Instructions
- πͺ Cut a cavity in the sponge cake and fill with layers of ice cream.
- π₯Ά Freeze the cake until solid.
- π₯ Whip egg whites with sugar and lemon juice until stiff peaks form to make meringue.
- π₯ Cover the ice cream-filled cake completely with the meringue.
- π‘οΈ Broil or use a kitchen torch to brown the meringue quickly. FlambΓ© with liquor if desired and serve immediately.
