Ingredients
- 1 sheet (14.1 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed ❄️
- 1 cup fresh blackberries 🫐
- 2 fresh bay leaves 🌿
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar 🍚
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted 🧈
- 1 large egg, beaten 🥚
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened 🧀
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar 🍬
- 1 tablespoon milk 🥛
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 🥄
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 📜
- Gently unfold the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. 🔪
- Cut the pastry sheet into 6 equal squares. ✂️
- In a small bowl, combine blackberries, granulated sugar, and finely chopped bay leaves. Mix gently. 🥣
- In another bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. 🥄
- Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square. 🥄
- Top with blackberry mixture. 🍇
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg. 🥚
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. 🔥
- Brush the warm danishes with melted butter. 🧈
