Benne Masala Dosa

Ingredients

  • 🍚 Dosa batter – 2 cups
  • 🌱 Benne seeds (sesame seeds) – 2 tbsp
  • 🥔 Potatoes – 2 medium, boiled and mashed
  • 🧅 Onions – 1 medium, finely chopped
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – 1-2, finely chopped
  • 🌿 Curry leaves – 1 sprig
  • 🫘 Urad dal – 1 tbsp
  • 🫚 Ginger – 1 tsp, grated

Instructions

  • 🔥 Prepare masala: Sauté onions, green chilies, ginger, and curry leaves.
  • 🥔 Add mashed potatoes, spices (turmeric, chili powder), and salt. Mix well and cook for 5 mins.
  • 🥣 Add benne seeds to the masala and mix well.
  • ♨️ Heat a flat griddle or pan. Spread dosa batter thinly.
  • 🥄 Spread benne masala evenly on the dosa and cook until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve hot with chutney and sambar. 🥥
