Benne Garlic Roast

Ingredients

  • 🥩 Roast (beef, pork, or lamb) – about 3 lbs
  • 🧄 Garlic – 6 cloves, minced
  • 🌱 Benne seeds (sesame seeds) – 2 tbsp
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
  • 🥕 Carrots – 2 medium, chopped
  • 🌿 Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme) – 2 sprigs

Instructions

  • 🔥 Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  • 🧂 Rub roast with minced garlic, salt, pepper, and benne seeds.
  • 🧅 Place chopped onion and carrots in the bottom of a roasting pan, then place the roast on top.
  • ♨️ Roast for approximately 20 minutes per pound, or until desired doneness is reached.
  • 🌿 Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving, garnished with fresh herbs.
