Ingredients
- 👅 Beef tongue – 1 large
- 🧅 Onion – 1, quartered
- 🥕 Carrots – 2, roughly chopped
- 🌿 Bay leaf – 2
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, crushed
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🌶️ Black peppercorns – 1 tsp
Instructions
- 💧 Place beef tongue in a large pot and cover with water.
- 🥕 Add onion, carrots, bay leaf, garlic, salt, and peppercorns.
- 🔥 Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours, or until the tongue is very tender.
- 🔪 Remove the tongue and let it cool slightly. Peel off the skin.
- 🍽️ Slice and serve. Can be used in tacos, sandwiches, or as a main course.
