Ingredients

  • 🥩 Beef short ribs – 2 lbs
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
  • 🥕 Carrots – 2 medium, chopped
  • 🌿 Thyme – 2 sprigs
  • 🍷 Red wine – 1 cup
  • 🐄 Beef broth – 4 cups
  • 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
  • 🧂 Salt & pepper – to taste

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sear beef short ribs in a large pot or Dutch oven until browned on all sides.
  • 🧅 Remove ribs and sauté onions, carrots, and garlic until softened.
  • 🍷 Deglaze the pot with red wine, scraping up any browned bits.
  • 🥘 Return ribs to the pot, add beef broth and thyme. Bring to a simmer, then cover and braise in a preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 3 hours, or until the meat is very tender.
  • ✨ Remove from oven, let rest for 15 minutes. Serve with braising liquid and your favorite sides.
