Ingredients
- 🥩 Beef short ribs – 2 lbs
- 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
- 🥕 Carrots – 2 medium, chopped
- 🌿 Thyme – 2 sprigs
- 🍷 Red wine – 1 cup
- 🐄 Beef broth – 4 cups
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- 🧂 Salt & pepper – to taste
Instructions
- 🔥 Sear beef short ribs in a large pot or Dutch oven until browned on all sides.
- 🧅 Remove ribs and sauté onions, carrots, and garlic until softened.
- 🍷 Deglaze the pot with red wine, scraping up any browned bits.
- 🥘 Return ribs to the pot, add beef broth and thyme. Bring to a simmer, then cover and braise in a preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 3 hours, or until the meat is very tender.
- ✨ Remove from oven, let rest for 15 minutes. Serve with braising liquid and your favorite sides.
