Ingredients
- 🥩 Beef Short Ribs – about 2-3 lbs
- 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
- 🥕 Carrots – 2 medium, chopped
- 🌿 Fresh Thyme – 2 sprigs
- 🍷 Red Wine – 1 cup
- 🥣 Beef Broth – 4 cups
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- 🧂 Salt & Pepper – to taste
- 🌿 Bay Leaf – 1
Instructions
- 🔥 Sear beef short ribs in a pot until browned on all sides; remove and set aside.
- 🧅 Sauté onions and carrots in the same pot until softened, then add garlic and thyme.
- 🍷 Deglaze with red wine, scraping up any browned bits; let reduce slightly.
- 🥣 Return ribs to the pot, add beef broth, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- 🥘 Cover and braise in a preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for about 3 hours, or until the meat is very tender.
