Ingredients
- 厚揚げ Atsuage tofu – 1 block, cut into pieces
- 🧅 Onion – 1/2, sliced
- 🍄 Shiitake mushrooms – 4, sliced
- 🍶 Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
- 砂糖 Sugar – 1 tbsp
- だし Dashi – 1/2 cup
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat oil in a pan and sauté the atsuage tofu until lightly browned.
- 🧅 Add the sliced onion and shiitake mushrooms, cooking until softened.
- 🍶 Pour in soy sauce, sugar, and dashi.
- simmer until the sauce is reduced and the tofu is well coated.
- 🍚 Serve hot over rice or as a side dish.
