Ingredients

  • 厚揚げ Atsuage tofu – 1 block, cut into pieces
  • 🧅 Onion – 1/2, sliced
  • 🍄 Shiitake mushrooms – 4, sliced
  • 🍶 Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
  • 砂糖 Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • だし Dashi – 1/2 cup

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan and sauté the atsuage tofu until lightly browned.
  • 🧅 Add the sliced onion and shiitake mushrooms, cooking until softened.
  • 🍶 Pour in soy sauce, sugar, and dashi.
  • simmer until the sauce is reduced and the tofu is well coated.
  • 🍚 Serve hot over rice or as a side dish.
