Ingredients

  • 🐷 Pork shoulder – 3-4 lbs
  • 🧅 Onions – 2, chopped
  • 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
  • 🌿 Herbs (thyme, rosemary) – to taste
  • 🥕 Carrots – 2, chopped
  • 🍷 Red wine – 1 cup
  • 🫙 Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • 🧂 Salt & pepper – to taste

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sear pork in olive oil until browned on all sides.
  • 🧅 Add onions, garlic, and carrots to the pot and sauté until softened.
  • 🍷 Deglaze the pot with red wine, scraping up any browned bits.
  • 🌿 Add herbs, salt, and pepper. Cover the pork with liquid (water or broth if needed).
  • ⏰ Slow cook in the oven at a low temperature (around 225°F/107°C) for 48 hours, or until the pork is very tender and easily shredded.
