Request Account & Data Deletion

Ordo (by Ordo / ordoapp.online) lets you request deletion of your account and associated data. This page explains how to do that and what we delete or keep.
Steps to Request Account and Data Deletion
To request that your Ordo account and associated data be deleted, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to hello@ordoapp.online with the subject line: Request to delete my Ordo account.
- In the email, include the email address or identifier you use to sign in to Ordo (e.g. the Google or Apple email linked to your account), so we can locate your account.
- Optionally, state that you want your account and all associated data deleted.
- We will confirm receipt and process your request. You will receive a reply once the deletion has been completed (typically within 30 days, or as required by law).
If you have the Ordo app installed, you can also open your email client and send a message to the address above from the same email you use in the app.
What We Delete
When you request account deletion, we delete or anonymize the following:
- Account and identity: Your authentication account (via our provider Clerk), including email and name linked to Ordo.
- Your content: Saved content, collections, categories, and any other data stored in your account (e.g. in our database).
- Analytics and identifiers: Where possible, we remove or anonymize analytics and device/push identifiers associated with your account.
What We May Keep (and for How Long)
We may retain certain data only as needed for the reasons below:
- Legal and compliance: Data required by law (e.g. tax, legal holds) for the period required by applicable law.
- Backups and recovery: Data in backups may persist until the backup is overwritten (typically within 90 days). We do not use backed-up data for any purpose other than recovery.
- Anonymized or aggregated data: We may retain data that no longer identifies you (e.g. aggregated analytics) for improving the service.
Beyond these exceptions, we do not keep your personal data or account data after deletion is complete.
Additional Retention Period
Active processing: Deletion is usually completed within 30 days of your request. Backups: Any remaining copies in backup systems are overwritten within approximately 90 days. Legal retention: If we must retain something for legal reasons, we keep it only for the period required by law.
